Qualifications: Carolyn received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in sacred music/voice from Louisiana Tech University in 1970 and completed a basic accounting course at LSU-Shreveport in 1985.Experience: Carolyn was the office manager of a pediatric office in Shreveport and in Baton Rouge prior to joining Dr. Sherman's staff in January 1992 as the Financial Coordinator. Personal: Carolyn is blessed with two children, a daughter-in-law, two grandsons and her mother. She has a passion for music and has served as the choir director for three churches, directed children's musicals, performed in several musicals and appeared as a soloist for various church and community performances. She is a member of the United Methodist Church. She received her certification in Spiritual Formation and Spiritual Direction in 2005 and is actively involved in the Kairos Prison Ministry. Carolyn enjoys traveling, being outdoors, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Kim - Records Technician 
Qualifications: Kim earned her Expanded Dental Duty Assistant Certificate and has received her certificate in both the American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers and in Dental Radiology by the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry.Experience: Kim joined Dr. Sherman's staff in 1996 after 15 years experience in customer service in a financial office. Personal: She and her husband Arthur have been married since 1990 and have a beautiful young daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, writing and watching classic movies. Becky - Lab Technician 
Experience: Becky joined Dr. Sherman in 1987 as an orthodontic assistant. She attended Great Lakes Orthodontics School in 1996 to train as a Lab Technician. She holds certificates in the American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers and in Dental Radiology from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. She also received her Certification in Orthodontic Assisting in 1991.Personal: Becky has a daughter and a son, and stays very active with them. Anissa - Treatment Coordinator 
Qualifications: Anissa has received certificates in both the American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers and in Dental Radiology by Medcom Inc. She also earned her Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certificate in 1998.Experience: Anissa joined Dr. Sherman's staff in 2002 with 10 years experience in the orthodontic field. Natalie - Orthodontic Assistant 
Qualifications: Natalie has received her certificates in American heart association basic life support, radiology, and Expanded Duty Dental Assistant, by Louisiana State University.Experience: Natalie had four years experience before joining Dr. Sherman’s team in September of 2005. Personal: Natalie is from New Orleans and moved here after the storm. She got married in April 2007. She and her husband enjoy traveling, landscaping, boating, and spending time with her family. Maureen - Treatment Coordinator 
Qualifications: Maureen earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, La. She received her Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certificate in 1994 and also has received certificates in both the American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers and in Dental Radiology by the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry.Experience: Maureen entered the orthodontic field in 1982. She has 13 years of experience as an orthodontic chairside assistant and is currently in the administrative area as a Treatment Coordinator. Maureen has worked with Dr. Sherman since 1994 in his Baton Rouge practice and also worked previously with him from 1986-1988 in the New Orleans area. Personal: Maureen moved to Baton Rouge in 1990 from Metairie, La. She and her husband Jim stay very busy with their 2 teenage boys’ sports schedules. They love football, beach volleyball, traveling, gardening, LSU sports, and spending time with friends & family. Poppy - Clinical Coordinator 
Qualifications: Poppy has received certificates in both the American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers and in Dental Radiology by the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. She also earned her Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certificate in 1998.Experience: Poppy joined Dr. Sherman's staff in 1991 and enjoys her position in the orthodontic field. Personal: She and her husband John were married in 1993 and have two beautiful children, a daughter and a son. She enjoys spending time with her family, hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time at the beach. Ashley - Appointment Coordinator 
Qualifications: Ashley serves as Dr. Sherman's full-time appointment coordinator. She has received her certificate in American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. Ashley has also earned her Dental Radiology certificate and her Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certificate from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry.Experience: Ashley has been a part of Dr. Sherman's wonderful staff since May 2000. She has experience as a sterilization tech and a records tech. She is currently Dr. Sherman's appointment coordinator. Personal: Ashley enjoys spending time with Chris and their wonderful son, Christian. She enjoys playing outdoors with her son, being with friends and family and going on summer vacations. Cathy - Clinical Assistant/Invisalign Coordinator 
Qualifications: Cathy has achieved a Dental Radiology certification from LA State of Dentistry, Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certification and an American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.Experience: Cathy was a pediatric dental assistant for two and a half years. She also worked as a Diagnostic Records Technician and controlled the flow of the lab as a Lab Technician for Dr. Stephen Searcy for 10 1/2 years in Lafayette, La. She is currently an orthodontic chairside assistant for Dr. Sherman. Personal: Cathy moved to Denham Springs in July 2002 when she married Mike. They share in raising three beautiful teenagers, two daughters and a son. Cathy enjoys crafts. Cathy and Mike enjoy hunting and fishing. Neighborhood cookouts and boating are their family pastimes. Christina - Orthodontic Assistant 
Qualifications: Christina has recieved her certificates in American Heart Association Basic Life Support, Radiology, and Expanded Duty Dental Assistant by Louisiana State University.Experience: Christina joined Dr. Sherman's staff in July of 2005 as a Sterilization Tech, then trained to become an assistant. Personal: Christina is a diehard LSU fan and enjoys going to LSU football and baseball games. She is currently in college with a concentration on nursing. Lauren - Orthodontic Assistant 
Qualifications: Lauren has recieved her certificates in both the American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Dental Radiology, and Expanded Duty Dental Assistant, by the Louisiana State University.Experience: Lauren joined Dr. Sherman's staff in January 2007 as a Sterilization Tech, then trained to become an assistant. Personal: Lauren is an avid LSU footbell fan. She is currently attending LSU, about to graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Health Science Ginger - Financial Coordinator 
Qualifications: Ginger recieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in 1981.Experience: Ginger has worked in the areas of office management, financials, and record maintenance since earning her degree in 1981. Prior to joining Dr. Sherman's staff in September of 2007, she worked in academic records management at Catholic High School for nine years. Personal: Ginger and her husband Johnny have been married since 1978 and have three children, a son-in-law, and a daughter-in-law. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and staying active by biking, traveling, and gardening. Elizabeth - Orthodontic Assistant 
Qualifications: Elizabeth has recieved her certificates in American Heart Association Basic Life Support, Radiology, and Expanded Dental Duty Assistant, by the Louisiana State University.Experience: Elizabeth joined Dr. Sherman's staff in July of 2007 as an assistant, and has trained closely under Dr. Sherman. |
