Office Hours
Our usual patient treatment hours are Monday 7:50 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Tuesday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The office is open on Fridays from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. for administrative purposes and occasionally for patient treatment.
Emergencies
For an emergency visit, please contact our office. If you have an emergency that requires immediate attention during our work hours, please contact us on our main phone number, (225) 769-1276. For emergencies that occur outside of normal office hours, please contact us on our emergency cell phone at (225) 936-9394. This will allow you to get in touch with Dr. Sherman, Dr. Balhoff or one of our trained assistants.
Appointments
Patients are seen by appointment only. During active orthodontic treatment, most patients will be seen every 6-10 weeks. Unfortunately, some of these appointments will conflict with work or school. We have put considerable effort and time into designing our scheduling system with the patients' quality orthodontic care as our primary goal. Because some appointments require more time than others, these longer visits are scheduled mid-day. This enables us to schedule as many short appointments in the early morning and late afternoon as possible. It is impossible to see everyone after school. Therefore, we will do our best to rotate appointments to keep the number of times you have to check out of school or miss work to a minimum. We do our best to accommodate you.
